Ship ahoy!
You'd never think that this picture was taken at 14.42 today! Gloomy and wet all day long and dark earlier than usual. This is the Northern Lighthouse Board's 'Pole Star'.
Sitting at the computer for most of the day. I've just finished going through the pictures from a London trip way back in 2018 - I don't know why I didn't do them back then. Having adjusted them all as necessary, I'm now going back to title them all - 241 of them. This means trying to find out where they were taken for quite a few of them. After that I'll write up the walk, then descriptions of any interesting buildings or other places en route! Why do I do it? Because I want to!
I've also been picking out some images for our next Photo Club competition - 'Storms and inclement weather'. I usually take pictures deliberately for competitions but haven't done for this one, so have been hunting through hundreds of pictures - I picked out five. Hand-in is on Wednesday, so I'm getting images from other members and I'll need to get them all together and send them to the judge on Thursday morning.
As if that wasn't enough, it's also the hand-in for our annual Inter-Club competition, so they're beginning to arrive too. And this afternoon I was asked if I would get a few dozen pictures together for our first meeting on Wednesday as something else had failed to happen. Never a dull moment!
I did have a break from the screen. After lunch I went down to the ferry terminal to buy a ticket to the island of Kerrera - it's the u3a Creative Writing group meeting tomorrow. I popped in to Homebase to see if the 50% discount on garden pots had been increased - the store shuts on Saturday for good. It was now 60% of the usual cost and many of the pots had gone. The lady on the checkout said they were selling fast so it was unlikely that there would be any further reductions, so I bought a couple! Bet they drop to 90% on Saturday morning!
