Emergency blipping again
I could not sleep last night. Daisy was on top of me as usual, but felt like a lead weight!
I was awake from 0500 and that was the end of sleep.
This morning I concentrated on some technical things I needed to check. I also did a job I hate: cleaning the camera sensors. The A9 ii keeps the shutter down when the camera is opened, so that sensor is rarely mucky. There were just one or two bits to remove. The A9 has an open shutter when lenses are changed and the sensor was terrible. Hopefully both are A OK for the trip.
I intended to go to see Maureen in Haltwhistle, but I ran out of time. Same for Kate and Dennis. Jenny was due home from hospital today but no time had been given.
I collected my currency at Tesco and went to buy lip balm with sun protection. They had NONE. In fact the travel section was very poor. An assistant had to help me to find it; it had been moved.
I went to see Margret in Corbridge. We need to work out which staff members to talk to about different things. In this case, who will organise the hospital transport. It was not arranged for tomorrow's appointment at Hexham General and I'm sure I mentioned it when she arrived.
Also the district nurse will not follow the instructions for Margret's dressings because she has not seen them in writing and she doesn't believe Margret.
You can tell that the steam was beginning to build.
Margret had organised a taxi to take her to the hospital, but the driver can't be expected to supervise her walking. Once home, I contacted Joan. She will go with Margret in the taxi and then push her into the clinic in my wheelchair. I don't want Margret to have all the anxiety about getting herself to the hospital.
Sigh.
I took her a different magnifying glass, this one on a desk stand, so hope she will be able to read her iPad.
Now I'm just worrying about whether I have done everything. The temptation is to add more things into the case so I need to close it and leave it!!
One more sleep (and I hope I do sleep)!
