Early Morning Pond

We had an early food pick-up this morning.
The curtains were opened earlier than normal as it would be lunchtime before we would get home and I rather liked the mix of lighting on the edge of the pond .... so I took a couple of shots.

We were down at the store shortly after 8am ... and had to wait over 10 minutes before somebody came to open the doors and hand over the food....so I took 3 shots of the 'sunrise' over the pedestrian walkway.

When we arrived at Strathbrock and delivered the food one of the staff mentioned that a lot of the stuff we delivered last time had to be thrown out as it was past its 'Use By' date -- so I had a look at what we had just brought in and it would appear that everything is likely to be past its date.
Basically they are using the charity as a means of avoiding the costs of it being uplifted/destroyed .... and no doubt using the 'donations' as a tax write off.

When we went up to The Larder's 'head office' for a short first-aid course I had a word with one of the bosses and it is going to be looked into - there is no point in them paying mileage to have it picked up and then have to get rid of it all.

SWMBO and I didn't really learn anything new from the first aid session (apart from actually being able to get 'hands on' with a defibrillator), but it is always worth having a refresher.

SWMBO had an on-line session with the 'Wellbeing Hub' after lunch so I went to the lathe to give her some peace.
It was remarkably mild (still 11C at 8pm) and all the snow and ice has gone.
Crazy times.......
