Puffins

One advantage of having the internet down last week was I got the jigsaw done. I kept it whole for a grey-day blip and today was the day. 15C warmer than 2 days ago but dull and damp - at least the pavements aren't hidng patches of ice.
Interesting day. About an hour on the phone to HMRC, a lot on hold, but when I did get through a helpful woman got my employer registration (for the church) done.
We then put the decorations up in the loft (still evidence of mice though the bait has been taken, so it was renewed) before heading off ot the garage. The intention was to order a new car for delivery in a couple of months but we've actually bought an ex-demonstation one of higher spec and lower price. 6 months old a less than 6,000 miles and the colour we wanted. So we should have it by next week once the towbar is fitted. (and they're giving more than expected for the old, slightly battered, one).
Just time for lunch before the new pastor's wife came round for a chat and to see if there were any particular things she would have to do - there aren't, which reassured her.
Then it was almost time to go out running and we had a couple of new people joined us who seemed to enjoy it.
