I know it is a matter of degree

I'm all for having less snow to deal with, but +4ºC yesterday, and +10ºC at lunchtime today?  In January?  Blimey.

In fact it was so warm that I almost thought about taxing the Africa Twin and going for a ride after work, but for the first day back at the controls I finished late and then spent the better part of two more hours with maps for Holz, before I got too cold, eventually made tea and then sort of flopped on the settee.

I was saddened to read that Eddie Baird of the medieval-folk group, Amazing Blondel, passed away today.
