Tate

I met up with Lucie in the afternoon and we went to the Tate Gallery. We first saw the photo exhibition The 80's: Photographing Britain (first extra). I found it really interesting. It was maybe a bit too long - we had a break half way which helped - and with a few notable omissions (punks, goths), but what was there was quite powerful, I felt.
We then went on to see the Turner Prize (last two extras) - some of it left me a bit perplexed and I don't particularly understand the judges' choice but there were also some striking images there (not that I pretend to understand them).
Lucie and I rounded up the day with a lovely Japanese meal.
