Walk...but not far!

As the snow has begun to melt I was hopeful of a walk today. I hadn't taken into account the snow that has been ploughed onto the pavements all around. Although the roads were good enough to walk on I wasn't able to step onto the side if a car approached. I walked down our lane but didn't feel safe enough cross the narrow bridge to the next village. I just walked back home. Disappointing but no point in chancing a fall, the snow and ice at the side of the roads was very slippery. I'm sure it will all be gone soon. 
It's our first sewing group meeting of the year at the hall tomorrow so hopefully lots more snow will have gone so people can park.
