Snug as a bug in a...

...tartan wool blanket from Scotland!  What else?  Louisa May doesn't usually like being covered in a blanket, but she seemed to like it this time.  I was just reading about the elusive and endangered Scottish wildcat. It is estimated that there are only 115 to 314 individuals in the wild. It is the only true wildcat in the UK and is a protected species.  Louisa May was "wildcat", aka feral, for over a year before she was trapped and brought to the shelter.  I am sure she has no interest in returning to the wild.  She runs under the bed if I open a door!  There are projects in Scotland now for increasing the wildcat population.  If you want to read about these beautiful but rare cats, here's a link.
