Bank of Ireland
Another day spent keeping warm. Some pottering, some printing, much sewing (hand quilting the project now).
It was getting dark, and I was wondering what I would do for a photo, when I got a text message from BOI, regarding a suspicious transaction on my debit card - did I recognise it? Answer - NO, I'd not left the house or done any online purchasing today.
Followed up by a phone call from the bank - there were several more odd transactions - all for €0.00. So no question of being out of pocket - it was presumably someone testing out the card details before trying for a larger sum.
We get slightly frustrated by BOI at times - many online transactions have to be approved in the App, and it can be slow to open. We often find ourselves needing to retry the transaction having missed the "window" for approval in the App. But I was glad of their security concerns today,
The result, of course, is that I've cut up my existing card, a new one is on its way - slightly inconvenient as I was planning to go shopping tomorrow.
