From gravel pits, Essex

This morning's walk took us across the gravel pit. On a very chilly morning the last thing on my mind was to take a swim. The sign caught my eye. I can imagine in the summertime it would be tempting to some people but not to me. I know how dangerous it can be.
Also, there is such thing as quicksand.
