Winchester Time
This morning we walked into town to carry out a few errands.
This evening we were back in town at Abbey House, the Mayor's official residence, for an event to thank the staff and volunteers who run Winchester GoLD.
Although I've lived in Winchester for 43 years, it was the first time I had been in Abbey House, so I was keen to explore the property. My blip shows a grandfather clock in the hall. Pottery painting and light refreshments had been organised for us, in what would have originally been a bedroom in the Georgian house. (I think I would have preferred a tour of the house rather than painting a snack bowl, but you mustn't look a gift horse in the mouth, and it was a sociable evening with the Mayor!)
