Making Smog

I enjoyed my free day with reading, gardening, going for a walk, and cooking a pot of root vegetable and lentil stew for dinner.

This blip is a follow-up to yesterday’s haze picture, taken as I started my short walk. 
Normally, we can see the Odenwald hills in the distance from here, but they have disappeared in the man-made mist. The cloud columns in this blip are from a power plant and a factory in Mainz, just across the river Rhine.
