Glen Sannox 1925 to 1953
the turbine steamer Glen Sannox was the second of that name built by Denny of Dumbarton. She was the LMS Arran steamer sailing from Fairlie and Ardrossan
In the 50s she gave way to car ferries
In this 1930s postcard she is seen entering Ardrossan to berth at Winton pier where Arran passengers will be arriving by train at the harbour station.
Extras - the third Glen Sannox 1957 to 1989 diesel powered and built by Ailsa of Troon to carry 50 cars and 1100 passengers to and from Arran
