Balconies of Bath

Whenever I walk this way, a shortcut from the bus stop to the hospital in Bath, I always admire these balconies. 

Out early to see the doc this morning, then the bus into Bath and a walk up the hill to the hospital. Couldn't get through to Dad's ward earlier and by the time I got there he'd been moved to another ward. As soon as I found him the doc told me he was being discharged! Pleaded for him to stay in another night to give me time to recover from the overnighter but was told they desperately needed the bed, 40 patients in ED waiting for a bed. Spent 4hrs with him waiting for this & that to be sorted, which gave me time to pop down to hospital blood clinic for blood test (nurse at my surgery failed to suck any out of me earlier, apparently my blood was too tired!). No room on hospital transport for me so dashed home on bus to wait for his arrival. Turns out there was no need to dash as they've just phoned to say he won't be home until 8pm which gives me time to do a couple of chores then sit down for an hour before the madness resumes.
