Sunshine Strawberries

Or rather, medronhos (arbutos unedo), otherwise known as the strawberry tree. Came back to one of our bushes covered in ripe berries, as well as flowers, as you can see - a characteristic of this native bush, suited to the Alentejo's harsh climate and stony ground, and fire resistent to boot. When they're this ripe, really quite tasty - though here used mainly to make brandy.

An extra for those who think it's always hot here - though certainly less of these frosty days than even ten years ago.

Gratefuls:
- only one Zoom meeting (though it did last almost two and a half hours, with no wee break); at least it was productive
- a walk out in the morning, doing errands in town
- Mike finishing our UK tax returns
