A dark morning

The pre-sunrise hovered for quite awhile with a thick bank of cloud pushing towards it darkness stayed longer than recent days. Mild and windless it was as beautiful as ever with the dawn chorus entertaining us as we dawdled through the soggy meadows. Dippy set up a woodcock and kept getting spooked by wood pigeons crashing down from their roosts.
Nearly 3 hours of walking later we washed quickly before heading out for a swim in a local pool.
My back and shoulders are grateful for the exercise even though I can feel some discomfort from the exertions.
Back to Amadeus for soup before delivering some of the Chai tea mix I made to my favourite tea room.
Home for a mindful wander around the fields with my four legged little puppy dog.
