First light
Hummingbirds come out of torpor at first light to bulk up on the energy they expended to survive the night. It was the coldest night in two years, 27°/-3°. A new feeder went out as soon as I got up because the original was frozen solid. You can keep nectar in the refrigerator for up to two weeks so I have a couple of fresh feeders ready to go. The backlight gives it a little bit of a glow around the edges. This was taken through the sliding door window.
Thanks for the comments and stars on my grandmother's tiny prayer book.
and joke.
