Princes Square
Mr P and I set off mid morning for an overnight trip to Glasgow as we had tickets for a BBC Scotland Burns Night celebration at the City Halls (including Deacon Blue and the Scottish Symphony Orchestra).
We booked into our apartment hotel, Sonder at The Teacher (a building that was once home to the Teacher's Whisky offices) and after a wander around the city centre, took the subway up to Byres Road. We had a late lunch at Kember and Jones (brilliant) and then pasteles de nata from Pastéis Lisboa (excellent). We headed back to our very comfy hotel. Unfortunately it was so comfy that Mr P refused to budge and we arrived too late at the City Halls to have our tickets validated (about 10 people behind the cut off). We ended up going to the GFT to watch The Nickel Boys instead. Good film but I was gutted at missing out on our Burns celebration!
