A day of Connection. Phone conversation with Devorah this morning, visit from Laurie this afternoon. We’re all asking ourselves the questions of the moment. What can we do? How do we support those most vulnerable? How do we prepare for what is about to happen and maintain agency and energy? What saves us from worry and despair—for the world, for all who are suffering in this moment, for the children not yet born? Laurie takes cues from the Zen Peacemakers and their three tenets: Not-knowing, Bearing Witness, and Taking Action. 

Not-knowing is my favorite, though all three are interconnected. Not-knowing leaves room for possibilities we haven’t yet imagined.
