The Mountain

It’s called Mount Baker and it’s part of the Cascades. It’s east of Bellingham and pops into view in many places. I like knowing it’s nearby even though it is volcanic. There is often a halo of cloud above it. It isn’t expected to erupt but it could. Thankfully so far in the 35 years I’ve lived here, it hasn’t. We were on our way to Costco when I took this picture.
