Flame Tree

Loved the Flame trees at Hyde Park this afternoon as they brighten up the summer landscape!!  
In extras are a couple of shots of some of the big Morton Bay fig trees there.  Many of the trees are infected with the shot borer beetle which creates a fungus which kills the trees and hopefully an eradication method can be found in time to save some of them.  They are very old and beautiful and the park just wouldn’t be the same without them.
Looking at 40c tomorrow which will be a shock to the system as we’ve had mid 20’s for about a week!!!
