W-I-D-E on Wednesday: Nature

Thanks to Steveng for hosting the Widwed challenge this month. For today's "nature" blip I went back to one of my most popular blip locations, the local Killingworth Lake (it featured on my blip on Saturday, when it was frozen over, but photographed then from a different direction).

There are still patches of ice although it's thawing fast; these geese were using the remaining ice floes to stand on as you can see. The sky isn't as dramatic as on Sunday afternoon over the River Tyne, but still made for a suitable background with some reflections in the lake.
