Caves & Towers

This evening we made a trip to Menara Kuala Lumpur, the 421m high telecommunication KL tower built in 1996. It is the sixth tallest telecommunication tower in the world.

The views from the viewing deck (49R), which is 276m above sea level, were superb. KL is such a high-rise sort of city with so many more projects spotted in the landscape.

Batu Cave adventure- got the slow train that got us to Batu Cave. Climbing 272 steps was well worth the effort in the heat and humidity. The caves and temples were brilliant.
We did a Dark Cave conservation tour (35 R) of some caves opposite the temple caves. This had some spectacular stalactite, stalagmite, curtain formations.
