Brush Strokes

Pretty busy day today with a couple of meetings to attend, but both went well.

I wasn’t counting down the minutes until the wee ones arrived back home at all…..

In between times, I did take the opportunity to have a long overdue New Year catch up with a couple of friends and was delighted to hear that things have started well for them. 

Maybe it is the Panto effect, but despite the gloomy prospect of the re-emergence of Trumpton and pressures at work, I feel quite optimistic about the year ahead! It really feels like a blank canvas in all the best possible ways.

Had a lovely evening with the wee ones as we talked about plans for the week ahead - they’re back with their mum tomorrow, but after that they’re with me and the family (who are kindly helping out with the babysitting) for the weekend and will be coming to see the show then.

The Youngest (my Executive Assistant on this production) helped me out with a line-run (complete with a performance from her) and then we relaxed with a board game in front of the fire.

Lovely chilled evening and now feel ready to continue applying a few brush strokes to the 2025 canvas by getting back to the Panto madness tomorrow night!
