Can't begin to describe the difficult day I've had. Endless medical calls to hospital, doctors etc, etc. Ended up with 111 out of hours GP coming to see the patient at 8.30pm this evening.

But my day pales into comparison with what poor K is going through next door. Last week E, her husband, finally got the go-ahead for a double lung and liver transplant. While he was undergoing tests in Birmingham he picked up a virus and is now in ICU in Bristol receiving palliative care. He's only 45; so cruel and so desperately sad. Praying for a miracle...
