Snowdrops are out

A fine mild sunny day with a West wind .. it felt like March. Afternoon walk to the Botanics to find various banks of different varieties of snowdrops. These are Galanthus Single (Nivalis Simplex), I think.

It was dry enough for tea outside at the Inverleith house cafe. The bushes have been trimmed back and the leaf litter cleared from under them, so no cover for little birds until it grows back. Went on to Inverleith pond, now free of ice, with the usual swans, geese, tufted ducks, mallard and gulls in place. Oystercatchers on the rugby and cricket fields.
