The Day's Catch
One of my favorite things to do when visiting the coast of New Hampshire (all 18 miles of it!) is to sit at Rye Harbor and just watch the boats coming and going. We were there around 4 p.m. so the charter boats and commercial boats were coming in. This was the biggest and it was pretty small, as was their catch. But the fish was weighted, the containers shrink wrapped and picked up by a refrigerated truck. Seemed like a meager harvest to me, but what do I know??
There are little concession stands on the wharf too for Whale Watches and amazing clam chowder and Lobster Gazpacho, Lobster Salad Rolls, oh my. We had Mexican on the menu last night (Sumner's favorite) so we had to pass on these.
