The Weir
This is the Weir on the River Darwen at Houghton Bottoms. I've been to photograph this lovely spot before but didn't blip it. I decided I wanted to go again today as it's been raining heavily these past few days so I though the river levels would be higher and a bit more volume would be in the water.
Unfortunately some clown body has decided to take a machete to one of the trees overhanging the weir, which would of been great had they had the forethought to do it properly, instead they managed to chop through part of it, enough to leave it partly alive, but it now hangs on a lower branch and completely obliterates the view!!!!
I should of had one (machete) in the car boot and finished the job properly, but there was a little bit tooooo much water in the river today! Next time may be?
