M and I enjoyed a very nice lunch with JohnRH & W at the Gunton Arms.

The Gunton Arms is in many ways a traditional English pub, except that it is situated at the edge of a deer park, has an interesting history and the owner collects quirky art, which is displayed in the pub.

There is a huge open fire where much of the meat is cooked in front of the diners. It’s very cosy, lots of old wooden tables and chairs, candles on all the tables and a very tempting menu.

Just the place to be on a gloomy misty day in January. Great company, great food…marvellous!
