Plastic Stress

 I played with photo elasticity today; the practise of visualising stress in plastic objects by photographing them between two polarisers. I used my iPad screen as one, plus the  CPL filter on my camera as the other.  This is a merge of two images: the background is a CD case while the diamond patterned foreground is a picnic glass.

The result is a lovely colourful patterned image for Ingeborg’s Abstract Thursday challenge.
