STRANTON CHURCH

I blipped this as I walked back to collect my car after its MOT at 3.30pm, not 12.15 as indicated by the church clock. The church is All Saints, Stranton, the original parish church for this part of Hartlepool and just a few minutes walk from the house. As long as the wind is in the right direction we can hear bell-ringing practice on Wednesday evenings and listen to the bells whenever they're rung for any special occasion, which I love.

The car passed its MOT with no problems, though I don't know why they wanted it in so early when it wasn't ready until mid-afternoon. They did give it a bit of a clean inside and out, however, so it's a lot less squalid than when I dropped it off.
