Flower Friday - Yellow Tulips
Out of the house and up the road this morning for a latte and toasted tea cake while the cleaners were in. I read a bit of this month’s book club novel while I munched, and checked to see if tickets were on sale yet for the preview of a film I want to see in London next month. It’s called ’Becoming Led Zeppelin’, and contains rare footage from the 1960’s plus more recent specially filmed interviews with the three surviving members to tell the story of how this hugely influential band came into existence. I did get a very good seat at the BFI IMAX theatre in Waterloo, so I’m looking forward to a totally immersive experience in a couple of weeks’ time. I have seen a couple of films there before, and it’s an incredible venue - it has the largest IMAX cinema screen in the UK. Can’t wait!
This afternoon my friend Christine’s husband David called round with the beautiful yellow tulips that I’ve blipped. This was to thank me for taking Christine and her brother to the GP surgery yesterday. I am always happy to help people out if I’m able to so they really didn’t need to give me anything, but I must say the flowers are very cheerful to have in my lounge on this grey and overcast day.
