Bird In The Bush

Today is probably the earliest time that BB has been seen for weeks, however there was a good reason for it, breakfast at Dishoom. We took the bus to Edinburgh, I did a return on George Street, and we got to Dishoom in time for our reservation.

We both very much enjoyed our breakfast, and also enjoyed people watching. A single chap next to us wanted something small. The waiter helped him choose, and he then asked to take half away with him. He must have had the appetite of a sparrow. He was quite particular about his receipt as he needed to claim it in expenses. I have no idea what he must of thought if BB’s food mountain. On the other side we had a very posh young couple. All very entertaining.

I then dragged BB down to the Botanics for a wander. It was very cold, but bright. The Botanics were very quiet, and it was nice to wander. We then wandered to Stockbridge, and back up to Princes Street to catch a bus home. There was more people watching in the bus, as there was a very ‘entertaining’ chap on the bus. Thankfully we weren’t sitting near him, so he wasn’t annoying us! In fact both of us dozed off for a bit.

When we got home, BB had a snooze on the sofa, while I popped out for a couple of things, which also helped to wake me up. I then got ready to meet s couple of friends for a night out. We started with pizza and wine, before heading to a show, a kind of Elton John tribute act. I’m not s huge fan, and two of us wouldn’t have chosen to go, but we all really enjoyed the performance.

I got home to find TT watching a movie, while BB was out with friends.

I was trying to take a picture of the viburnum flowers when a couple great tits landed right in front of me. This is one of them. The extras are of a skating duck, and this evenings show.
