Day out tomorrow with my best pal and an auspicious day demands the best (in my opinion*).

And, yes, dusty and battered, but a best camera/lens is not just for Christmas. They're for dropping and scratching up and getting wet and scuffing and bashing and.... more importantly using 'till they can be used no more!

Hardwick Hall in case you were wondering is where me and my pal are going. She's an avid fabric crafter and has wanted to see the tapestries at Hardwick for ages. I'm looking forward to it very much as we don't get to see each other too often because of the distance. 

*the Fuji lenses are just too meh, apart from the 35mm f/1.4, and 18mm f/2 - the glorious old skool ones.
