REFLECTION: DDW August challenge
Already late for the pool, I dumped my gear on the bench outside, hung onto my umbrella, and went looking for reflections, expecting them to be gone by the time I was leaving. (I was right.) As you can see, I didn't have to go far.
Earlier, a grey morning with a fine veil of drizzle.
Not quite a "misty mizzle" but almost.
It came down a bit harder before it stopped.
Now, early afternoon: still, cool, dim light, humid.
Pavement remains dark and damp, but not enough sheen for reflections.
What season is this?
I have it on good authority (thank you, freespiral) that in Ireland today is the first day of autumn. Whatever it is in the Pacific Northwest, it definitely ain't heat stress!

Knee continues to improve with PT.
Writing stalled as I fiddle with journaling: completing a handwritten journal; getting ready to pick up another with the intention to do fewer words, more art.
Getting back into the habit of "Morning Pages" on computer.
Journaling about my novel: character issues and timing.
There's hope, not even as dim as the day.
