Spontaneous!

This shot was purely spontaneous!  I had walked the village and took nothing of any interest, but coming out of the service station I quickly took this shot, with very little thought in mind, other than I had never taken this view before.

In the petrol pumps area it was very dark being in shade yet in the distance the winter sun was bright as you can see from the old railway goods shed.  Action is captured with a couple of people fuelling their cars.

So I suppose the lesson is to be ready to go with your gut reactions!
