Mouse rehoming day
This little fellow (and one of its mates) moved into my living room the other day. He or she is about the size of my thumb, so Peanut was pretty dismissive.
I set up a few 'mouse caravans' in the hope of catching both of them, only managing to get this one.
Nuts and thin slices of carrot (mainly for water) were supplied overnight and a set about making a shelter out of tissue paper stained with tea for camouflage.
It has been relocated to the cemetery across the road with plenty of food. Somewhere warm and out of the way of predators.
If I do manage to catch its buddy I'll drop it off in the same place.

I was reminded of my friend Peter who's cat brought a mouse inside the house. The little animal escaped only to be rediscovered sleeping in Peter's boxer shorts a day later.
