Silver Street Studios

There was no hope of taking any photographs today so I'm showing a photo from yesterday's visit to Greenwich. I walked down Nevada Street (formerly Silver Street) and saw this marvellous derelict blue building. Apparently, Silver Street Studios closed many years ago. When it comes to the eel pie aspect, a local resident said there's never been an pie shop here so this remains a mystery. Additional shots in extras.

Fun fact: the new film Blitz (dir. Steve McQueen) has a scene showing Stepney Green tube station and that was built here in Nevada Street. There was one open space where the set could have been located and it was next door to Silver Street Studios.
