Fiscal Flycatcher

I was taking photos of the Egyptian Goose father keeping watch over his family who are starting to fly when this Fiscal Flycatcher posed for me. A pity his feet are hidden but they are difficult birds to photograph.
Their high pitched cries are often warnings that snakes are nearby.
It's been  a hot day. I took Coda and Pumpkin to the Bark Park but no one stayed longer than an hour due to the heat. Both dogs slept for a long time after their time of running around.
A quiet Saturday, with a long call to a school friend for her birthday. She is my oldest friend, dating back from the 1950's.
