Destination Santo Domingo

This is the second drop off at Barcelona airport this week. First it was Marc, Eva's son going to Houston, and today, my daughter Maria is flying to the Dominican Republic. It's an amazing experience awaiting Maria. She was born in Santo Domingo 18 years ago, and she has not been back since her mother and I went to fetch her, when she was only three months old.

This is not a normal holiday either; she is going for almost a month with the NGO Setem, which will exposer her to a world she has never seen before. I know that this will be highly emotional for her, but I am convinced that she will grow as a person.

She is seen here with two of the girls from the Setem group, Maite (on the left, also born in the Dominican Republic), and another nice girl who's name I don't know.

Eva, Nil and I are leaving for Lausanne today! Holidays!!! (We Just arrived, and was welcomed by fireworks all the way from Geneva to Lausanne along the motorway. The Swiss National Day.)
