Costa Del Dalkey
Today was a fine, active day. The active part involved perhaps a bit too much house cleaning for my liking but it has to be done and Saturday morning is when I do the biggest chunk.
There was still time to hop on the bike and go the Vico. It was pleasantly choppy and therefore not too crowded.
Some Spanish tourists (the noses poking out of the hoods in the polar-grade anoraks looked Spanish and the muffled sounds coming from the depths of said anoraks had the typical intonations of Castilian Spanish) must have been convinced that I was nuts.
The return home was leisurely and took in Coliemore Harbour, Bullock Harbour, Sandycove, the Big Tesco in Dun Laoghaire and the chemist in Monkstown.
This evening was marked by my first attempt at making a toad-in-the-hole.
It ended up being a dead-desiccated-discarded-toad-on-a-mud-flat...
