The local free newspaper proudly announced in its January 2nd edition that “New Policing Hub Opens at Bedford Bus Station with Success of Cross-Party Initiative”, though it doesn't tell us the date of the opening ceremony attended by the local mayor, our local Member of Parliament and senior Bedfordshire Police officers.
A few moments before 6pm on 8th January a 17 year-old school student was stabbed to death by five other teenagers at that very same bus station.
