Low Tide

We live on a tidal river connected to Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. In the winter the tides are low every afternoon and high in the middle of the night. That's why, if you look closely, you can see shells on the bottom of the muddy Braden River!

I wanted to take some photographs of water because I love the shapes and textures you can get. Water can be a very creative subject! I've seen a few photos here on blip lately that inspired me to try.

I like the leaf floating on the shallow water, but have added a more textural water photo to the extras - the reflections are of the mangroves that grow right in our brackish river.
