A good beach walk this afternoon.  We weren't sure what these metal remnants were from, we walk this beach regularly and they weren't there last time so they've been uncovered by the weather and ocean's activity.  There was another piece further up in the dunes.  They are firmly anchored so we guessed they might be the old supports to a long gone stormwater outlet pipe.

Afterwards a browse in a vintage shop where I found a cookbook of Blue Ribbon pie recipes - winners at state, county, and local fairs.  There are some mouthwatering recipes in it.  $5.  Nice.
