This ball is called The Orb, and it's like a Rubik's cube. We were given it for a 10 month old baby to play with, but a member of our family, in her 40s and with various scientific qualifications, grabbed it and wouldn't let go. Evidently you have to align the beads to solve its puzzle....for my part I'll just stick to my medieval Latin books.
