Floating Sheep

Few years ago we have asked young local sculptor to make for us sheep made of stone ( sheep are symbol of the island ). He has used local stone almost unaltered and made legs, tail and neck of wire.
Hard core street photographers look down at photos of sculptures claiming that people who are taking them are afraid of taking candid portraits. They are wrong , of course, because sculpture was one of the first things to be treated in photography. It may started due to utilitarian function of photography ( recording ) , but when Atget photographed outdoor sculptures at Versailles he made them actors in the visual theatre ( quote from NYT review of MOMA : The Original Copy : Photography from the Sculpture 2010 exhibition ).
I like my sheep very much and was trying to make them alive
