Cold Beck
This morning I suggested a trip out this afternoon following yesterday's short wander. When afternoon came I was really tired, I didn't want to do anything. The Man knew it would do me good to get out so suggested Priest's Mill at Caldbeck. It's many years since we've been there.
I realised I was no longer able to scramble around on any terrain so I refused to try and get down to the gravel. That gave me problems with the choice of lenses I had taken with me. I had to zoom out with my feet, hoping I wouldn't have trees in the way.
Coffee and apricot cake were lovely in the cafe.
When I got home I put the lodge's sideboard on Marketplace and within minutes I got a taker from the other side of the county. Off to the lodge we went and the young couple spent over an hour sitting chatting with us before loading the sideboard into their little car.
