Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

We took a walk today to Summerhall, but it was mobbed! No worries - we could go to the pub and have a beer instead - haven’t been for ages. But it was closed. Not sure if that’s permanent or not - the whole Summerhall venue is up for sale.

Not to worry - we walked along to another dog friendly cafe. We had a nice window seat. There weren’t many people there, it was quiet, but a table of three young women rather spoiled the peaceful vibe.

There’s a certain type of student here - they talk VERY LOUDLY all the time. We had three of them standing in the very busy tram yesterday. Talking VERY LOUDLY, blissfully ignorant of poor folk around them. Probably thinking that everyone would be (should be) fascinated to hear their political opinions.

Fortunately, I had my ear pods, and could put on my music at full volume and could just see their mouths flapping non stop. Bliss.

Actually, I listened to Bob Dylan as we walked home - looking forward to seeing the film this week.
