The First of the Year
It's rare that I leave it this long before visiting the allotment after Christmas. In fact, I don't think I've been up since November.
It was a fleeting visit, and there was much to please. The sprouts and cabbages have not been eaten by pidgeons, the leeks are slowly maturing, and there are turnips ready for Burn's night.
There are also these little Nante carrots growing happily undercover. They are vibrant and healthy. I'm excited.
