In the city ....
I made the most of my free day in the city. Following the advice of fellow blippers I made my way to National Gallery before it opened and within 20 minutes I was in seeing the Turners. I was asked if I minded not seeing them in chronological order and going anti-clockwise to fill in gaps. I did not- in fact i preferred that as it gave me permission to dot about. I enjoyed seeing them but was glad not to have queued for longer. I then made my way to Modern 2 to see the Women in Revolt Exhibition which I found really interesting - it took me back to my younger days and I even spotted a single I still have !
After lunch I headed to Usher Hall to see German National Orchestra - it's a youth orchestra and it was fun watching as well as listening but there was an awful lot of bowing, shaking hands and clapping after piece. It's quite interesting how different art forms have different routines.
I then headed over to HazelH and Mr Hazel H's for a most enjoyable evening. It was lovely to see them the both (and I even won a game of Catan).
I also racked up over 20, 000 steps - tomorrow will be more sedentary.
